Hi!
I’m Laurie, ACC life coach (ICF certified), coaching in English, French, Spanish. A serial immigrant and long-term expat. Born in France with dual French and Spanish nationality, I’ve lived and worked across three continents.
My professional life gave me the opportunity to experience different ways of working, thinking, and living. Very much led by curiosity I am both artsy and analytical and I love to discover new things.
Every country gave me a new pair of lenses to see and interpret the world:
Cuba taught me to dance anywhere, even if badly, the UK showed me the power of a good hug and a smile, Spain brought me closer to my roots, Greece taught me pride in one’s history, Bulgaria showed me the importance of traditions for a community, Morocco reminded me that a system might seem strange but can work beautifully once you understand it, Mexico showed me how positive language can impact your meaning and daily spirit.
These experiences shaped how I show up as a coach: with no judgment, deep understanding, and genuine curiosity. I help clients see their challenges through different lenses, explore options they couldn’t see before, and recognise patterns or beliefs that might be limiting them.
My career path
From climbing the ladder to creating my own.
Like many students I started working in a kitchen. I worked reception, became a holiday rep, and moved up to team supervisor and quality manager, before moving on to Projects, Ops and, after earning my Master’s in Foreign Languages and International Affairs during COVID, business consultancy.
My early work taught me something fundamental: nobody is too good for any task, and real solutions have to be implementable for the person on the ground.
I built a career creating solutions and navigating complexity across industries and continents. I’ve participated in crisis management (including evacuating clients after a hurricane). I’ve handled difficult negotiations, delivered trainings, and worked on process improvement and project delivery amongst others.
During this time, I worked in various fields and industries, including Tourism, IT projects, legal and finance. This variety and my evolving responsibilities have given me a wide capability for understanding and capturing a situation and working on a solution from there.
And now, still led by curiosity, I started my own business. I am a Business consultant and ICF ACC professional and life coach.
Why Coaching?
A people centered approach to problem-solving
I first discovered professional coaching in 2018 during a leadership program while working as a quality manager in Mexico. At the time, I was doing hotel inspections, working with hoteliers and the team to create improvement plans, and supporting crisis, and complaint management. Coaching stood out because it creates sustainable results: you don’t tell people what to do, you help them find their own solutions by building on their own resources.
From then on, I started infusing coaching into my daily way of working and used COVID time to study it deeper. More recently, as a business consultant in an international consultancy I realised how coaching was giving me an edge, and I decided to pursue my ICF ACC credential.
Life coaching feels especially meaningful, being invited to support someone is a specific privilege, being part of someone’s personal journey is something special. I love the variety, getting to meet and collaborate with people from anywhere, focusing on helping them create their own solutions, and I love how resourceful they can be once they give themselves the space.
What I love most is the moment people “click”, when they find a solution, discover something about themselves, or connect with what they truly need. Every time, I’m humbled by the courage and vulnerability people bring to their own growth.
